Drs Maurizio and Roberto Viel have observed the industry change dramatically over the decades; it has become more affordable and technology and techniques have also improved too.  The most popular plastic surgery treatments include breast augmentation, liposuction and botox in their Dubai and London practices, however, they are becoming increasingly aware that other plastic surgery treatments have been gaining traction in 2019 in Dubai.

Breast Reduction

More and more women want to live in proportionate size to their bodies.  Many women are uncomfortable with their large breasts which can also give physical discomforts like back pain.  With new surgical techniques for this procedure and a reduced recovery time, more patients are seeking this procedure.  ‘We have a lot of patients in our Dubai clinic opting for this especially they finish having their children, and they want to tighten everything up.  The breast reduction can also be done in conjunction with a breast lift giving the patients a nice volume in proportion with their physique,’ says Dr Maurizio Viel.

Bottom Augmentation with Fat Grafting

Bottom augmentation (also known as the “Brazilian butt lift”) is achieved by taking out fat in an area where it’s unwanted, and placing it into the buttocks. Kim Kardashian may look like she created the trend but being of Middle Eastern origin, that procedure has been popular despite of the reality-tv star.  ‘We now see patients of different nationalities also asking for this procedure’, says Dr Roberto Viel, ‘and in addition, an advancement of technology has also enabled us to add the patient’s own stem cells into the fat, helping fat survival, resulting in the buttocks retaining the exact volume as requested by the patient.’

Tummy Tuck (Major)

A tummy tuck (also referred to as abdominoplasty) occurs when the surgeons removes all the excess skin and fat from the abdomen through a low transverse incision made below the bikini line, and this can also be performed in conjunction with a liposcution. The belly button is then detached from the skin, allowing complete redraping of the abdominal skin, and a new belly button is created. The slack muscles are pulled together and sutured in place. ‘ This surgery can have a dramatic effect on the patient’s body allowing them to wear more fitted clothes with greater confidence’ says Dr Maurizio Viel.

Tummy Tuck (Minor)

This is similar to the tummy tuck major but the scar is smaller, closer to the size of a c-section scar.  The surgeon does not in this case have to tighten the muscles but only remove the excess skin often caused by large weight gain followed by weight loss.  This is typical of women who have had multiple births.
