J-PLASMA: THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY IN SKIN TIGHTENING
The J-Plasma is a surgical procedure and one-time treatment to tighten loose skin around the body. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF J-PLASMA?

HOW IS J-PLASMA DONE AND HOW DOES HELIUM WORK IN TIGHTENING THE SKIN?
J-Plasma is performed under sedation, not to be mistaken with general anaesthesia, but patients still enter a deep slumber creating a pain-free experience, and patients undergoing J-plasma procedure can expect to go home on the same day.
The procedure starts with the creation of small surgical incisions (wounds) where the J-plasma cannulae (a small hollow tube) is inserted. The helium gas and RF energy are then released just beneath the skin to create the cold helium plasma causing enough heat to contract the skin from the inside while the excess helium gas cools the area. Skin tightening is achieved when the cold helium plasma comes into contact with the tissues under the skin.
IS THE USE OF HELIUM IN J-PLASMA FOR SKIN TIGHTENING SAFE?
Helium is an odourless, tasteless and non-toxic gas. The helium used in J-plasma has been shown to be safe and effective in various surgical procedures like coagulation, tissue healing and skin tightening.
HOW IS THE RECOVERY?
Patients can return to work usually after 3 – 4 days and are mobile immediately after the surgery. The full recovery from J-Plasma usually lasts less than a month but can vary depending on the extent of the areas that were treated. During the first week, minimal bruises, swelling and dry skin are common. Itching is also not uncommon as the body begins to heal. Mild to moderate discomfort is also expected especially on the first two days but are manageable with over-the-counter pain medications.
WHEN WILL I NOTICE IMPROVEMENT?
You will notice tighter and firmer skin on the first month and will improve over the next three to six months when the swelling has fully subsided.
